Alexander Lukashenko stated that terrorists from Krokus City Hall headed towards Ukraine due to enhanced security measures on the russian-Belarusian border. This is reported by Belarusian media.
"They could not go to Belarus... They understood that they could not enter Belarus. Because in the first minutes, when part of the region in Russia switched to an enhanced security mode..., we activated our units as well", - the Belarusian dictator said.
According to him, forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the KGB, border guards, and military personnel were involved in the border area. "So they could not enter Belarus. They saw this. Therefore, they turned away and went to the section of the Ukrainian-Russian border", - Lukashenko's statement was quoted by the Belta news agency.
