Ukrainian drones have attacked the strategic aviation base of the russian Aerospace Forces "Engels-2" in the Saratov oblast. This is reported by local Telegram channels and confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation.
According to the statement from the aggressor country's Ministry of Defense, air defense systems shot down four Ukrainian drones in the Saratov oblast.
The governor of the oblast, Roman Busargin, stated that there were no casualties or destruction, according to preliminary data.
Residents of Engels reported on social media about a series of explosions in the city. Preliminarily, the explosions were heard in the vicinity of the airfield where the occupiers' strategic aviation is located. Tu-95 and Tu-22 aircraft, used by the russian occupiers to launch missile strikes against Ukraine, are based there.
