French President Emmanuel Macron has stated that he does not rule out the possibility of sending French troops to Ukraine. He made this statement in an interview with the TF1 and France 2 television channels.
However, he made it clear that the French army "will not advance or take the initiative in the war with russia".
According to Macron, if France is forced to send its troops to Ukraine, the kremlin regime will be responsible for it.
He stated that under the current circumstances, it is necessary to prevent russia from winning the war, which "is moving onto European soil".
Macron added that "France is a force for peace", and in order to achieve peace in Ukraine, allies must be resolute and bold.
"We must soberly assess the situation, resolutely and boldly declare that we are ready to invest resources to achieve our goal, which is to prevent russia from winning", - he said.
