The U.S. Senate has approved a separate bill providing aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan totaling over $95 billion. This was reported by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
The document will now be sent to the House of Representatives, where Republican Speaker Johnson had previously criticized it.
Some Republicans had predicted that the Senate bill would be "dead on arrival" in the House. Both chambers of the U.S. Congress must approve the law before Democratic President Biden can sign it into effect.
