The "DNR" has acknowledged that it will take at least 20 years to restore the forest resources in Donbas, which have been devastated by russian aggression. This acknowledgment came from Vladimir Yezhikov, the "Deputy Chairman of the DNR Government".

During his visit to the Nizhny Novgorod oblast, Yezhikov reported that more than 20,000 hectares of forest in the region had been destroyed, with over 23,000 hectares requiring demining.

"The forest resources of the republic have suffered colossal damage—wood is so saturated with fragments from exploded ammunition that it is unsuitable for processing", - admitted Yezhikov, without specifying who initiated the hostilities in Donbas.

According to him, it will take at least 20 years to restore the forest resources in the Donetsk oblast, which have been destroyed by russian aggression.
