Western allies have committed to working towards providing Ukraine with more long-range weaponry for striking occupiers beyond the confrontation line. This was announced at a briefing on the results of Ramstein-18 meeting by the Head of the Press and Information Department of the Ministry of Defense, Illarion Pavliuk, as reported by Liga.net.
"The key thing to say is that it was a productive meeting, after which we want to say 'stop panicking' to everyone who raises concerns about losing support", - said Pavliuk.
He emphasized that during the meeting, the partners made important commitments regarding Ukraine receiving "many important types of weaponry". This weaponry is "extremely needed" for Ukraine to effectively strike the enemy both on the confrontation line and beyond, destroying the logistical nodes of the russian army.
However, Ukraine will not specify the type of weaponry until it is in the hands of the Defense Forces, Pavliuk noted.
According to him, special attention during the meeting was given to long-range weaponry, and there is a "full understanding" from the partners that Ukraine needs it. Therefore, there is a commitment to work towards providing Ukraine with more weaponry for such strikes.
Additionally, he mentioned that several countries announced significant financial aid packages, with intentions to increase them.
