Roman Hrynkevych, the son of Lviv businessman Ihor Hrynkevych, has been detained in Odesa this morning. This was reported by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Andriy Kostin, during a briefing on January 22.

"During an attempt to cross the border, the fifth participant of a criminal organization, which supplied low-quality clothing worth 1 billion hryvnias to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has been detained", - Kostin stated.

According to the investigation, the suspect arrived in Odesa around January 17 and had been preparing to cross the state border and leave the country since then. On January 19, at the request of the prosecutors, the court granted permission for his detention.

The issue of selecting a preventive measure for the detained individual is currently being resolved. The other four suspects are in custody.

On January 17, Lviv businessman Hrynkevych was served with a suspicion notice in connection with supplies to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On January 18, the State Bureau of Investigations announced a search for the son of Lviv businessman Ihor Hrynkevych, Roman, whom law enforcement exposed in transactions involving the purchase of clothing for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
