Germany has transferred another package of military assistance to Ukraine, which includes 25 unmanned aerial vehicles RQ-35 Heidrun in addition to the previously supplied 100, eight armored vehicles in addition to the previous 16, and ammunition for Leopard 1 tanks. This information was reported by Interfax-Ukraine, citing the German government.
According to the report, the package also includes 50 SatCom communication terminals in addition to the previously delivered 230, 16 mobile refueling vehicles Zetros in addition to the previous eight, five border patrol vehicles (previously delivered 243), and three vehicles (trucks, minibusses, off-road vehicles - not specified; previously delivered 358).
Furthermore, Germany is providing 1,840 combat helmets, 500 LED lamps, and means for disposing of ammunition.
The government stated that they also plan to transfer 20 infantry fighting vehicles Marder in addition to the previously supplied ten, 15 self-propelled anti-aircraft systems Gepard, a greater number of Zetros refueling vehicles, as well as refrigerated trucks.
Previously, the German Ambassador Martin Jäger stated that Germany will continue to supply air defense systems to Ukraine in 2024.
Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz also announced that Germany will provide military aid to Ukraine worth over €7 billion in 2024.
