During the night of January 17, the russian army launched an attack on Odesa using drones. Eleven drones were shot down over the region. The majority of them fell into the water, but debris from several hit civilian objects. Three people were injured. This information was reported by the Defense Forces of the South, the Odesa Oblast Military Administration (OMA), and the city council.

As reported, an air raid alert was issued in the region at 1:22 a.m.. The Air Force warned that a group of russian drones was moving towards the area from the Black Sea.

OMA head Oleh Kiper urged residents of Odesa and the Odesa oblast to stay in shelters until the all-clear signal.

All aerial targets during the russian attack on Odesa on the night of January 17 were successfully eliminated, but there were several hits on civilian infrastructure by drone debris, said Oleksandr Kharlov, deputy head of the OMA, speaking to Suspilne.

Three injuries are known, as reported by Kiper. 130 people were evacuated from the damaged building.

As a result of the attack in Odesa, a gas pipe caught fire, along with four cars, two balconies, and an apartment in a 5-story building. Eight cars were damaged by the shockwave, and the facade of a building with an area of 100 m² was partially destroyed, according to the State Emergency Service of the Odesa oblast.






During the night attack in the Odesa oblast, 11 Shahed-131/136 drones were shot down, according to the Defense Forces of the South. The majority of the drones fell into the water, but the debris from several and the shockwave damaged apartment buildings, stores, and private cars of the residents in the Prymorsky district of Odesa.
