NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg stated that he currently sees no indications of russian president vladimir putin planning for peace and urged to continue military support to Ukraine. He made these remarks during a panel discussion at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, as reported by Interfax.Ukraine.

"What we can do is simply maximize the probability that at some point president putin will understand that the continuation of this war will have too high a price. And then at some point, he will have to sit down and negotiate a fair and lasting peace in which Ukraine will prevail as a sovereign independent state. And the paradox is that if we want this to happen, a peaceful and just conclusion to this war, the path to it is more weapons for Ukraine", - said the NATO Secretary-General.

He emphasized that the more reliable they are in their military support, the greater the likelihood that diplomats will succeed.

Stoltenberg noted that what happens at the negotiating table with diplomats is closely linked to the situation on the battlefield.

"There are no signs that putin plans peace now, but he will do it when he realizes that we will not give up, that we have the military power to support Ukraine", - stated the NATO Secretary-General.
