Russian VIP propagandist Margarita Simonyan stated that the goal of russia's unleashed war against Ukraine is to protect the peaceful residents of Voronezh from Ukrainian drones. She made this statement on her Telegram channel in response to the overnight attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The russian Ministry of Defense claimed that all Ukrainian drones were shot down, while the civilian authorities of the Voronezh region reported damage to 35 apartments in three 10-story buildings.

"Ten-year-old girls and balconies of sleeping residents in Voronezh high-rises – these are the goals Ukraine sets on its path to a Euro-Atlantic future. Our goal, in all fairness, is to prevent Ukraine from having that future", - said Simonyan.

As reported earlier, Ukrainian drone attacks on military targets in russian territory are a response to russian aggression against Ukraine. Regarding the bombings in Voronezh, experience shows that domestic weaponry is much more dangerous for the civilian population in russia.

For instance, on January 2, a missile launched by russian occupiers towards Ukraine "deviated" and hit the town of Petropavlovka in the Voronezh region. Among the residents of the town, there were casualties and injuries, and around 10 houses were destroyed.
