Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, together with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valeriy Zaluzhny, and the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Serhiy Shaptala, visited the positions of the Defense Forces in the Kupiansk direction. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense on January 9.
The commander of the Khortytsia air defense unit, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky, familiarized himself with the situation around Kupiansk, where Ukrainian soldiers repel constant attempts of the enemy to attack. The russian occupiers have had no success in this direction.
"I had the honor to meet with the commanders of the units that are fighting in this direction now. They reported on the situation, current challenges. Decisions will be made in the near future - the enemy will not like it", - the Minister of Defense emphasized.
