The municipality of the Italian city of Modena withdrew its authorization for the staging of a propagandistic exhibition about the occupied Mariupol, as reported by the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oleh Nikolenko, on Facebook.

"In response to the Ukrainian side's appeal, the Modena city hall revoked permission for holding a propagandistic exhibition about the occupied Mariupol. We sincerely welcome this decision. We are grateful both to the city administration and to Ukrainians in Italy who prevented Italian society from being misled about the consequences of russian crimes in Mariupol and Ukraine", - noted the diplomat.

The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also urged other cities worldwide not to provide platforms for such russian provocations. Nikolenko is convinced that this will be a significant contribution to Ukraine's victory over russian aggression.

As reported, an exhibition about the "flourishing" of Mariupol under russian occupation was planned in the Italian city of Modena. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry labeled it as a provocation and instructed the embassy in Rome to prepare an official appeal.
