While most of the drones attacking the south of Ukraine on the night of December 25 were successfully intercepted by air defense forces, one of the Shaheds managed to hit the port infrastructure in Odesa, according to the Southern Defense Forces.
Overall, air defense forces shot down 17 drones and an X-31P missile over the Odesa oblast.
"Enemy drones, launched from the temporarily occupied Crimea, approached from different directions, attempting to exhaust our air defense and target as many objects as possible. The enemy's priority remains the port infrastructure and other vital regional facilities", - the statement said.
It is noted that debris from the downed drone damaged technical facilities in Odesa's port infrastructure, and the fall of another UAV caused damage to a warehouse in a preserved facility and a non-operational building in the Rozdilnyansky district.
There were no casualties or injuries.
As reported, two missiles and 28 out of 31 UAVs were destroyed in the Ukrainian sky overnight.
