President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he plans to continue working with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny, and is awaiting results on the battlefield. He made this statement during the year-end press conference on December 19.
When asked why he did not react to rumors of a conflict with Zaluzhny spread by the media, the President responded: "Why should anyone help to develop this topic? I have a working relationship with Zaluzhny. He must be accountable for results on the battlefield, as the Chief Commander. Together with the General Staff. There are many questions... I believe that being the Chief Commander is an honor. I believe that being the President is an honor".
He added that Ukraine needs firm steps and results.
According to the Head of the State, he does not cultivate any personalities or difficulties with any individuals.
"I plan to continue working with Zaluzhny. I await decisions on mobilization, await results on the battlefield, await decisions on aiding the fighters on the front. There is a strategy - I am waiting for results and details", - said Zelensky.
Earlier, there were multiple reports in the media about a conflict between Zelensky and Zaluzhny.
