Reuters, citing Commander Oleksandr Tarnavsky, reported that due to a shortage of ammunition and foreign assistance, Ukrainian defenders are forced to scale back certain military operations. The Defense Forces clarified that the military was referring to reformatting, as reported by 24.TV.ua.

Ukrainian forces are not scaling back military operations but reformatting them, stated Colonel Oleksandr Shtupun, the spokesperson for the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction.

Colonel Shtupun noted that the media made a mistake in interpreting General Tarnavsky's words, attempting to portray complete scaling back of operations.

"It is inappropriate to speak of a complete scaling back of operations. For example, operational-strategic troop grouping Tavria is conducting only two operations - defensive and offensive. Simply scaling back one operation is unrealistic. It is understandable to the military but not to civilians", - highlighted Shtupun.

Shtupun also confirmed that there is a certain reduction in ammunition supplies. He emphasized that this is not a secret.

Earlier, in a comment to Reuters, General Tarnavsky stated that the shortage of ammunition on the front is a significant problem. In particular, there is a lack of 122mm and 152mm ammunition.

The commander emphasized that the reduction in foreign military aid has impacted the battlefield. "The volumes we have today are not sufficient, considering our needs", - he said in the media.
