President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is not prepared to yield its territories in exchange for ending the war with russia. He made these remarks during a briefing after talks with U.S. President Joseph Biden in Washington, according to the Presidential Office.

"To those voices suggesting giving away our territories... How do you give away your people? The question is not just about land; it's about living people, their destinies, their stories, their families, and their children", - he said.

Zelensky challenged those supporting territorial concessions, asking them, "Are they willing to give their children to terrorists?"

"People live there, families reside there, children grow up there, and all of this is part of Ukrainian society. We're talking about living individuals. They are being mistreated, violated, and killed. We know this very well", - he emphasized.

The head of state also noted that he received positive signals from representatives of both parties in the U.S. Congress during the meetings.

"I said exactly what I wanted to say. I felt support from President Biden's administration and also sensed it from senators. We discussed this with the speaker as well. The signals were there. They were more than positive, but we know there are words, and there are results", - Zelensky underscored.

As reported, an American senator stated that the meeting with Zelensky was very powerful.
