According to law enforcement, he, along with colleagues, was removing scrap metal from the workshops and selling it. The damage is estimated at 518 million rubles.

It is worth recalling that Holoshchapov was the production director at the enterprise in Makiivka from 2001 to 2015, after which he started working for the occupation administration. In 2019, he was appointed as the so-called "mayor" of the city.

In December 2021, Holoshchapov was detained on suspicion of corruption. The so-called "DNR Prosecutor General's Office" initiated a criminal case of "large-scale bribery". In February 2022, the leader of the "DNR", Denis Pushilin, removed him from the "position".
