On December 11, the CEC of russia appointed the so-called "elections" for the president in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. Russian media reports this with reference to the press service of the CEC of the russian federation.

According to the reports, consultations on the possibility of holding the so-called "elections" were attended by the Deputy Chairman of the CEC, Nikolay Bulaev, the secretary of the commission, Natalia Budarina, representatives of the russian Ministry of Defense and the Federal Security Service, as well as the "governors" of the temporarily occupied territories.

It is claimed that all parties involved in the consultations consider it possible to hold elections for the head of the state in the occupied territories, which russia refers to as "new subjects".

Thus, the CEC of russia decided to schedule the "elections" for Ukraine on March 17, 2024.

"Adopted unanimously", - said Deputy Chairman of the CEC Nikolay Bulaev after commission members raised their hands.
