Polish Defense Minister, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, stated that Poland is ready to help Ukraine "identify" men of draft age who have fled abroad. This was reported by the BBC.

In an interview with the PolSat TV channel, Kosiniak-Kamysz noted that Warsaw has long offered Kyiv assistance in identifying among Ukrainian refugees and immigrants those who are subject to mobilization. According to the minister, the specific forms of this assistance depend on the wishes of the Ukrainian side.

"I think that many of our compatriots are and have been outraged when they see young Ukrainian men in cafes and hear about the efforts we have to make to help Ukraine", - Kosiniak-Kamysz said.

"It is not surprising that those Ukrainians who are on the front lines have legitimate grievances against their peers who have scattered around the world", - the minister added.

The question from the TV channel to the minister was related to the fact that the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this week the suspension of document processing abroad for Ukrainian citizens aged 18 to 60. This step is related to the recently adopted new law on mobilization in Ukraine.

According to the statistical service of the European Union, in January 2024, there were about 4.3 million citizens of Ukraine in EU countries, including about 860,000 men. Poland has officially granted temporary asylum to 950,000 Ukrainians, ranking second after Germany in terms of this indicator.
