Jens Stoltenberg, the Secretary-General of NATO, is convinced that only Ukraine will determine the acceptable conditions for peace negotiations with russia, and the Alliance's responsibility is to support Ukraine in this regard. He made these statements at a press conference in Brussels, responding to a question about the possibility of peace for Ukraine in exchange for surrendering territories and renouncing NATO membership, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine.

"The acceptable path to end this war will be decided by Ukraine. Our responsibility is to support Ukraine so that they (the Ukrainians) can liberate as much land as possible and put them in the best possible position when and if such negotiations can begin", - stated the NATO Secretary-General.

Stoltenberg noted that wars are inherently unpredictable. "We see no signs that putin plans for peace; he plans for even more war. We know that the more military support we provide to Ukraine, the stronger their positions will be on the battlefield, and the stronger their positions will be at the potential negotiating table", - emphasized the Secretary-General.
