Russia has activated its network of spies in Ukraine to destabilize the situation in the country. Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, stated this in an interview with The Times, as reported by RBC-Ukraine.

According to him, the goal of russian agents is to sow discord between the political and military leadership of Ukraine and ignite anti-government sentiments among the population.

Danilov noted that russia is trying to exploit the "so-called tension" between President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi.

The Secretary of the NSDC also revealed that Russia is attempting to spread disinformation and propaganda to destabilize the situation in Ukraine.

Danilov also informed that russian intelligence services use two types of operatives for foreign operations: agents under diplomatic cover and agents known as "illegals".

As reported, intelligence services exposed a spy who was "leaking" the location of HIMARS artillery systems near Bakhmut on social media.
