On November 22, Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, announced that the EU has provided a new tranche of macrofinancial assistance to Ukraine, amounting to €1.5 billion. She made this announcement on X social media.

"Europe's funding has supported Ukraine's economic stability and public services since the start of Russia’s war. Today we disburse a new €1.5 billion", - stated the head of the European Commission.

She added that the total volume of financial support to Ukraine from the EU now stands at €85 billion.

Ursula von der Leyen also assured that support for Ukraine would be strengthened, as the European Commission proposed allocating €50 billion to Ukraine by 2027.

It is worth noting that on October 23, Ukraine received the ninth tranche of assistance from the EU, amounting to €1.5 billion.
