The Investigative Committee of the russian federation stated that individuals involved in the murder of 9 people in the occupied Volnovakha in the Donetsk oblast have been identified and detained. This was reported by the russian agency on October 30.

According to the "investigation", the motive behind the crime was a domestic conflict. Those involved are reportedly contractors from the russian Far East.

"... the identities of two men involved in this crime have been established. They are Russian military personnel from the Far East serving under a contract", - the statement reads.

The so-called "Investigative Committee of the russian federation in the DNR" is investigating a "criminal case under the signs of a crime stipulated in part 'a, b' of Article 105.2 of the Criminal Code of the russian federation, initiated due to the murder of nine residents of the town of Volnovakha, including two children, whose bodies were found in a private residential house with gunshot wounds".

The suspects have been detained and "taken to the investigative department, where investigative and procedural actions are being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the incident, as well as to secure the evidentiary basis".

As previously reported, in the occupied town of Volnovakha, the bodies of nine people, including two children, were found in a private house.
