President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that American M1 Abrams tanks are already in Ukraine and are preparing to reinforce our brigades. The head of state made this statement in his Telegram channel on September 25.
"Good news from Minister Umerov. The Abrams tanks are already in Ukraine and are preparing to reinforce our brigades. Grateful to our allies for fulfilling agreements! We are looking for new contracts, expanding the geography of supplies", - Zelensky wrote.
He also mentioned that he conducted "daily synchronization on key security fronts" today. "I received reports on the military situation from the Chief of General Staff, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, and the Security Service of Ukraine. We are moving forward", - the President informed.
Zelensky also discussed Minister Klymenko's report, which included "the elimination of the consequences of shelling in Odesa and other populated areas, assistance to the victims, and the defense of the Odesa oblast as a priority in all my discussions on air defense", - Zelensky clarified.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported on preparations for the winter.
"Prime Minister Shmyhal spoke about the protection of critical infrastructure, the preparation of shelters, and 'Points of Invincibility'. We are working on a solution to make their discovery as simple and fast as possible", - emphasized Zelensky.
As previously reported, the United States announced a new $325 million aid package for Ukraine.
