Approximately 100 schoolchildren from the occupied town of Yasynovata will be deported to the Chelyabinsk oblast allegedly for their education. This was announced by the "mayor" of the city, Dmitry Shevchenko.
"About 100 of our schoolchildren will go to study in the Chelyabinsk oblast. They will definitely depart by the end of September. They will receive a full-fledged education alongside their peers", - he noted.
Shevchenko did not specify the category of children in question, whether they are wards of orphanages or children from local families. He also did not provide details about the type of educational institutions in the Chelyabinsk oblast where Ukrainian schoolchildren will be taken. The "mayor" only mentioned that "the children will be provided with free accommodation and meals".
As previously reported, on March 17, 2023, the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued an arrest warrant for russian president vladimir putin, who is accused of committing a war crime - the unlawful deportation of children from the occupied territories of Ukraine to russia.
