The Verkhovna Rada voted for the appointment of MP from PPB Yuriy Lutsenko on the post of Prosecutor General of Ukraine, - reports the correspondent of OstroV.
264 MPs voted for the corresponding decision.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree on the appointment of Yuriy Lutsenko on the post of Prosecutor General right in the hall of the parliament.
As previously reported, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law this morning which allows to lead the GPOU without a legal education. A few hours later the law was signed by the President and published in the parliamentary Golos Ukrainy newspaper. Thus, Yuriy Lutsenko, who does not have specialized higher education, received the opportunity to become Prosecutor General.
