On Monday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a regular meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Staff with an emphasis on the situation in Bakhmut, the Office of the Head of State said on March 6.
It is noted that the commanders of the operational-strategic groupings of troops reported on the situation in the main directions of the front.
"The members of the Staff examined the Bakhmut situation in particular detail. Assessing the course of the defense operation, the President asked the AFU Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhnyi and the commander of the operational-strategic grouping of troops Khortytsia Oleksandr Syrsky regarding further actions in the Bakhmut direction. They spoke in favor of continuing the defense operation of our positions in Bakhmut", - the statement said.
In addition, the Staff discussed the supply of weapons and equipment and their distribution in operational areas.
