Reuters writes that the new package of the US military assistance to Ukraine will include Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB) precision-guided missiles. These US-Swedish-designed homing missiles are launched, among other things, from HIMARS mounts and can hit moving targets at a distance of many tens of kilometers.
Until now, the range of missiles that the Americans and other allies supplied to the Ukrainian army was a little more than 80 kilometers - these are also missiles for HIMARS mounts.
According to Reuters, a new $2.2 billion military aid package will be announced as early as this week.
