Ukraine has received an additional $1.3 billion in emergency funding from the International Monetary Fund. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported this in Telegramon October 13.
"The funds will be used to finance priority needs: strengthening the defense capability, paying pensions, social programs and supporting the economy", - the official stated.
In total, the IMF has already transferred $2.7 billion to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war. In addition, Ukraine is looking forward to a new special program next year.
"Also, in the near future, the Fund and I will begin preparations for a new special program that will start working next year", - Shmyhal informed.
Let us recall that earlier, it was reported that the European Union would monthly allocate 1.5 billion euros to Ukraine in 2023.
