New Ukrainian anti-submarine corvette of the Ada type Hetman Ivan Mazepa was launched in Turkey on October 2. This was reported by first lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska in Telegram.
"Today in Turkey, I had the honor to launch a corvette that will serve Ukraine and at the same time, have a Turkish heart. Anti-submarine corvette of the Ada type Hetman Ivan Mazepa (this name was chosen for it by the President of Ukraine back in 2021, when construction began), will the first ship of this class for the Naval Forces of Ukraine. In such cases, ships are treated like people - with respect and attitude. So, corvette Hetman Ivan Mazepa, I wish you to carry the Ukrainian flag with honor. Fair winds, following seas and only Victory!", - she wrote.
