Ukraine sent the first ship along the agreed "grain corridor". This was announced on August 1 by Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov on his Facebook.
The ship with corn went to Lebanon from the port of Odesa.
"We are talking about the RAZONI vessel, which is heading to the port of Tripoli in Lebanon under the flag of Sierra Leone. It will move along the corridor, the safety of which is confirmed by our guarantor partners - the UN and Turkey. There are 26 thousand tons of Ukrainian corn on board", - Kubrakov wrote.
The minister also stated that another 16 ships are waiting for departure in the port of Odesa.
If the transportation takes place without problems, then the ministry expects to reach full capacity of the crossing of agricultural products in a few weeks.
As previously reported, a caravan of 16 Ukrainian ships is expected to arrive in Istanbul on August 3.
