The Tverskoy Court of Moscow has recognized Meta as an extremist organization and banned its activities in Russia. This is reported by the Russian Service of the Air Forces.

Meta owns the largest social networks and instant messengers - Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

The relevant lawsuit was filed by the Prosecutor General's Office of the aggressor country. Allegedly, Meta distributes extremist content in Russia under the guise of commercial activities. This refers to the posts of eyewitnesses about the atrocities of the Russian occupation forces in Ukraine and their combat losses. In Russia, this information is prohibited and is indiscriminately declared "inaccurate".

The authorities of the occupation country demand to ban the activities of Facebook and Instagram in Russia, but leave the free WhatsApp messenger.
