Russia will not dare to recognize the so-called "Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics". Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov announced this today to journalists in the Verkhovna Rada, - correspondent of OstroV reports.
"I think that this (recognition of the "DNR/LNR", - ed.) will be an obvious step for Russia to withdraw from the Minsk agreements, a demonstration that they are essentially abandoning them… I have a premonition that they will not dare to do this", - he stated.
As previously reported, deputies of the State Duma from the Communist Party, headed by Gennady Zyuganov, prepared an appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin, urging him to recognize the independence of the "DNR/LNR" (self-name of CADLO Ukraine).
The Kremlin called on the initiators of the recognition of the "DNR/LNR" not to escalate the situation and not to earn political capital.
