President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko intends to discuss reinstatement of dismissed Deputy Prosecutor General David Sakvarelidze and his team with a new Prosecutor General. Sakvarelidze told Novoye Vremya publication about that summarizing the results of the meeting with the President.
"The President said that he would talk with the new Prosecutor General and would talk about our reinstatement," - said Sakvarelidze.
Regarding the position of the Prosecutor General, Sakvarelidze does not plan to nominee himself, "I do not claim it, I said it several times and he knows that I do not claim."
As previously reported, on March 29th the Prosecutor's Office reported that Deputy Prosecutor General Sakvarelidze had been dismissed from the prosecution bodies. GPOU website notes that the Prosecutor General also brought Sakvarelidze to disciplinary liability for "gross violation of prosecutorial ethics." The dismissed called the "ethics" thievish.
