Fire destroyed 90 hectares of deciduous forest and 4 hectares of dry grass in the unique Donets Ridge Landscape Park. This is said in the message of the so-called "Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DNR".

The fire on the Donets Ridge territory began the day before. The suppression of the fire was complicated by gusty wind up to 20 meters per second. The fire was assigned increased call number - No.3. Fire and rescue brigades from six cities of occupied part of the oblast were deployed to the seat of fire.

In total, more than a hundred people took part in the extinguishing, more than 20 units of equipment were involved.

In addition, the occupiers reported another fire in the protected environmental zone in the Zaitseve isolated terrain feature near Horlivka. 500 sq/m of forest litter was destroyed by fire there.

The Donets Ridge Landscape and Recreational Park was created in 2000. In 2015, the occupiers announced that they would control it. The park includes 814 plants, including 33 Red Book plants. The fauna includes 255 species of vertebrates, of which 35 are listed in the Red Data Book.
