Fifteen pseudo-officers of the so-called "DNR", who fought against the AFU in the area of Torez and Debaltseve, were informed of suspicion in absentia. This was reported on August 12 by the press service of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

It has been established that since the fall of 2014, 15 pseudo-officers of illegal armed formations, two of whom are citizens of the Russian Federation, held management positions in the "7th separate motorized rifle brigade of the 1st army corps": from deputy headquarters commanders to commanders of engineer and mortar platoons.

"The attackers, dressed in a special military uniform of their unit, armed with special equipment and various weapons, carried out criminal activities near the settlements of Torez and Debaltseve, as well as in the adjacent territories, where they followed the instructions of curators of the Russian Federation", - the message says.

The defendants aged 32 to 56 years old were informed in absentia of suspicion of participation in armed formations not provided for by law (part 2 of article 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 15 years.
