Increase in the minimum pension as of May 1st and December 1st, budgeted for 2016, will not concern working pensioners, unless appropriate amendments are done to the legislation. Chairman of the Board of the Pension Fund of Ukraine Aleksey Zarudny told that during the press conference, - reports UNIAN.

"Today there is somedivisive issue in the legislation concerning the increase of pensions as of May 1st for working pensioners. But I think that we have some time to solve it and that is really all pensioners, including working ones, get pension increase as of May 1st,"- said A. Zarudny.

He noted that in 2015 the law had a special regulation that allowed working pensioners to get pension increase following the increase of the minimum wage. The head of the Pension Fund was not able to answer the question of how the situation I is planned to be changed.

"We are now thinking about how to solve this issue, but there is time, we hope this problem will be solved," - said Zarudny.

As previously reported, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law of Ukraine on State Budget for 2016 on December 25th, 2015. According to the document, the minimum wage as of January 1st, 2016 is set at the level of 1330 UAH, as of May 1st - 1399 UAH, as of December 1st - 1496 UAH. The minimum wage depends on the minimum wage and will be increased as of May 1st and as of December 1st this year. As of May the minimum pension will amount to 1130 UAH, as of December 1st - 1208 UAH. The last increase in the minimum pension in Ukraine took place in September 2015, when the minimum pension was increased to 1074 UAH.

As previously reported, the pension of working pensioners were levied byf 15%.
