So-called "information centers" have been massively opened in the occupied part of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, in which applications from Ukrainian citizens who illegally received Russian passports for electronic voting in election to the State Duma of Russia are accepted.
On Monday, chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova announced the start of collecting applications from those wishing to participate in remote electronic voting.
The report does not indicate how many of these "information centers" have opened in CADO, but occupation authorities of the "LNR" boasted that they had already launched more than 140 such campaign centers.
Election to the State Duma of the Russian Federation is to be held on September 19, 2021.
As previously reported, the United Russia ruling in the Russian Federation party is conducting an active election campaign in the uncontrolled territories of Donbas. It was preceded by the mass distribution of Russian passports to Ukrainian citizens living in the occupation zone under the simplified procedure.
