2136 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov on Facebook.
2136 people fell ill over the past day, including 104 children and 47 health workers. 1260 people were hospitalized, 109 – died.
6869 people recovered on May 16.
17 306 tests were carried over the past day, of which 9966 – by PCR, 1396 – by EIA and 5944 – by rapid antigen tests.
2 156 000 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1 864 593 patients recovered and 48 184 – died.
The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the Donetsk (190), Rivne (182), Sumy (137), Dnipropetrovsk (134) and Odesa (134) oblasts.
