Occupiers of the "DNR" have sentenced a resident of the uncontrolled territory of Donetsk oblast to 16 years in prison, allegedly, for "espionage". This was reported in the so-called "DNR Prosecutor General's Office".

The occupiers state that the man was in the territory controlled by Ukraine in November 2015, where he allegedly "was involved in secret cooperation by an employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine".

According to the occupiers, the accused collected and transmitted information regarding the occupation units' locations to the intelligence of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine via a messenger from December 2015 to March 2017. The occupiers claim that the "spy" was included in one of the groups that is allegedly "in the structure of the terrorist community, created with the participation of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and was trained in the techniques of assembling explosive devices".

As previously reported, it became known on October 12 that the occupiers in the so-called "DNR" had sentenced a resident of CADO to 10 years in a high-security prison, allegedly, for espionage.
