The State Duma of the Russian Federation has adopted a bill according to which the residents of CADLO would not pay the state fee when receiving a Russian passport under simplified procedure. This is reported by TASS.

According to the adopted law, persons who permanently reside in the Ukrainian territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblast, occupied by Russia, and applied for Russian citizenship under simplified procedure in accordance with the decree of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin dated April 24, 2019 are exempted from paying state duties when receiving a Russian passport.

Currently, the state fee of 3.5 thousand rubles is paid for admission to Russian citizenship, restoration of citizenship of the Russian Federation, renunciation from it, as well as for determining the presence of Russian citizenship.

As the media notes, according to the authors of the bill, the average monthly wage as of the second half of 2019 in the "LNR" was 10 979 rubles, and the average amount of pension payments was 4 966 rubles. These indicators in the "DNR" amounted to 12 036 rubles and 4 937 rubles, respectively. Moreover, as the authors add, the minimum pension received by almost half of the pensioners of the Donbass republics was 3 194 rubles".

It is indicative that TASS traditionally manipulates the terms, calling the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk, covered by illegal passportization, "people's republics". Meanwhile, the bill approved by the State Duma of the Russian Federation calls the occupied territories certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
