In the area of the Joint Forces Operation on April 9, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated the ceasefire 11 times, five of them - using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements, - the JFO headquarters reported. The occupiers used 82 mm mortars, an anti-tank missile system, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms. The Joint Forces resolutely suppressed enemy's criminal activity with aimed fire. One Ukrainian soldier was killed as a result of the enemy shelling. The Joint Forces command extend sincere condolences to families and friends of the deceased warrior and notes that criminal actions of the occupiers will not be left without an adequate response.
Seven cases of COVID-19 infection were "officially" confirmed in the occupied part of Donetsk oblast. This was reported by separatist media with reference to the so-called "Ministry of Health". 18 people were hospitalized with suspected coronavirus infection in the occupied part of the region over the past day. A total of 198 people are suspected of having COVID-19 in the CADO hospitals, 15089 are in self-isolation at home.
