Draft law No.2569 on the special status of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts was registered in the Verkhovna Rada. This is reported by UNN.

"The draft Law on amending Article 1 of the Law of Ukraine "On a special procedure for local self-government in certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts" No.2569 was registered on 12.10.2019" - the website of the Rada says.

It is also noted that the bill was initiated by head of the Servant of the People faction Davyd Arakhamia and head of the Servant of the People party and deputy chairman of the faction Oleksandr Korniyenko.

The message recalls that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the bill on the peculiarities of self-government in certain territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts can be discussed after successful negotiations during the Normandy format meeting. Earlier, Arakhamia stated that the Verkhovna Rada would not be able to pass a bill on the special status of Donbass until the New Year.
