The disengagement of forces in Petrovske of the Donetsk oblast will begin on November 4. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at a briefing with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, - RBC-Ukraine reports.
Zelensky noted that Ukraine began disengagement of forces in Zolote of the Luhansk oblast this week.
"We started the disengagement for our part, if everything is safe, we will also start the disengagement in Petrovske within a week starting from November 4", - the president added.
As previously reported, the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk agreed on the date of disengagement in Petrovske. At the same time, the specific date itself was not called.
This week, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission recorded six shots from small arms and one explosion near the withdrawal site in the area of Petrovske. Let us note that the condition for beginning of the disengagement of forces is to maintain ceasefire for seven days.
According to Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko, the Ukrainian party expects Russia to fulfill the peace agreements in order to carry out a disengagement of forces in Zolote and Petrovske.
