The Kremlin notes the beginning of certain contacts in the development of the agreements reached during the talks between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine. This was stated to reporters by press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the media information about the possibility of early exchange of the persons held between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, - TASS writes.

"So far we are stating the beginning of a dialogue between Presidents Putin and Zelensky, we are stating certain contacts that are being made in the development of these conversations and in the development of those understandings that were reached during the conversations", - he noted.

President of Ukraine Vlolodymyr Zelensky hopes that the first results on the exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and the Russian Federation will be in the coming days.

As previously reported, rumors about a large exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine are actively circulating in the media. On August 20, it became known that five well-known political prisoners could be in the same pre-trial detention center with sailors. There may be - Volodymyr Balukh, Stanislav Klykh, Oleksandr Kolchenko, Pavlo Hryb and Mykola Karpiuk in Lefortovo. Citing its sources, the Russian Interfax reported that these political prisoners could be extradited to Ukraine to "serve their sentences". Sources of the Russian Kommersant claim that the Ukrainian sailors are going to be returned to Ukraine. An exchange between Ukraine and the Russian Federation may take place before the end of August.

Also, Russian RBC wrote that Moscow and Kyiv had previously agreed to exchange 33 Russians for 33 citizens of Ukraine.
