The Ministry for Veterans' Affairs will not be liquidated. This was told today by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at the international veteran and volunteer forum Where We Are – There is Ukraine in Kyiv, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"Nobody will liquidate the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs. This is shameful information and shameful rumors", - he said.

Zelensky also appealed to the present veterans and volunteers to propose a candidacy for the post of minister.

"We have united the Verkhovna Rada committees (on the affairs of veterans - Ostrov”), but this does not mean that their functionality is being lost. The new Verkhovna Rada will do everything necessary to protect your rights", - he added.

He also added that a Council of Volunteers is being created by the President's Office and a Volunteer Commissioner would be appointed.
