Unrecognized "DPR" considers out-of-"grey zone" status of Pavlopol and Pishchevik in Novoazov district to be a prerequisite for the resumption of hostilities. This was stated by so-called "Deputy Commander of the Ministry of Defense" of the "DNR" Eduard Basurin.

As previously reported, at the end of October two villages in Novoazov district in Donetsk region - Pavlopol and Pishchevik – became again controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. The head of the Security and Cooperation in the Ukraine-Cascu public organization Semen Kabakaev again informed about that fact on Facebook. The General Staff also confirmed the return of controlover Pavlopol and Pishchevik. Gnutovo checkpoint is planned to be transferred to the area of these villages.

The "DPR" accepted the appeared information as a "statement" of victorious "peaceful seizure of Pavlopol and Pishchevik villages in the direction of Mariupol". Eduard Basurin said that this "is a prerequisite for the resumption of hostilities". But in October the militants did not care who controls the villages.
