The Russian Federation is increasingly sending residents of the occupied territories recruited by the Russian special services to Ukraine to destabilize the situation in the country. This was reported at a press conference in Kyiv today by Assistant to the Chairman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Oleh Slobodian, - correspondent of OstroV reports.
"Recently, cases of sending Ukrainian citizens recruited by the Russian special services to us from the temporarily occupied territories for the possible involvement of them in destabilizing the situation in the country during the election campaign and on the very day of the presidential election in Ukraine have been increased", - he reported.
O. Slobodian reminded that the border guards detained today a militant recruited by Russia, who fought against Ukraine, near the administrative border with the annexed Crimea.
"59 such persons have already been identified since the beginning of 2019. 39 reports on criminal violations were sent to the pre-trial investigation authorities regarding these cases", - the speaker of the State Border Guard Service said.
