The occupiers in the "DNR" began early voting in the illegal "election" of ringleader and "deputies" in the armed gangs stationed near the front line. This is reported by separatist media.
It is noted that the voting is organized in the so-called "Slavic motorized rifle brigade" and will last two days - November 6 and 7. Representatives of the occupation authorities plan that almost all the militants of the so-called "brigade" will be able to take part in it.
It is alleged in the "DNR" that "the procedure complies with all voting requirements and norms of the international law".
The world community stated the illegality of "elections" in the terrorist republics. In particular, special representative of the U.S. State Department Kurt Volker stated that they are illegitimate and violate the logic of the Minsk process. He explained that the talk is about the occupied territories, where basic security conditions are lacking. Furthermore, eight member states of the UN Security Council issued a joint statement in which they condemned the plans for holding the so-called "elections" in the occupied territories of eastern Ukraine. France's Permanent Representative to the UN François Delattre stressed that Germany and France are determined to support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and called on "the separatists and Russia to stop preparing for the so-called elections".
As previously reported, the "pseudo-elections" of ringleader and "deputies" were scheduled in CDDLO on 11 November. The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine stated that the intentions of occupation administration of the Russian Federation to hold "early elections" in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbass crudely violate Russia's obligations as a signatory to the Minsk agreements.
